About Tün
Our Story
It began when friends who hadn't seen each other in decades got together for lunch.
Music was the link that erased those missing years.
A quick catch-up of the past... then a discussion
about what comes next.
The answer was simple... "Let's play some music together, but this time just music we love.
And make sure we have fun doing it."
Tün is the result.
Our Goal
We want Tun to be different from bands our team of musicians experienced in the past.
This time... playing music just for fun is the goal.
Music that moves us in an environment
that makes us feel right at home.
The same goal whether playing for ourselves or performing for others.
Jazz... rock... fusion... simple... complex... soft...loud.
Tün is about music.

When your music is strictly instrumental, you need a sax player to fill the role of a vocalist. (Who often come with a lot of drama.)
Besides... it's the melody that matters most.

Drums drive the band. Sometimes just cruising along... other times a hectic pace to the finish. The rest of us go along for the ride. Takes his snare everywhere he goes.

Every band needs at least one person who understands the theory behind the sound. Luckily we have just that guy. Some people call them arrangers. We call him really smart.

Took a 50 year swerve from musician to homesteader... then business owner, then back full-circle... a musician on a mission.
Listens to vinyl with the lights turned off.

Yep... our wall photo is a rip-off of the Mayall/Clapton "Beano" shot from the '60's. But only cool-kids will make the connection. And since you're reading this, that's probably you.
Tün On Stage Again!
A fun night at Springfield's 'Motorheads' venue with family, friends and strangers. The night was hot... the music cool... and now Tün has played twice as many times as the original plan.
Tün's 2024 "One Stop World Tour" was a blast!
